I don’t know the search terms, so I’m sure this has an easy answer but I can’t find it: Where do I go to collect simple simple metrics on hundreds or thousands of companies at once in a format that allows easy analysis via spreadsheets? via /r/economy

I don’t know the search terms, so I’m sure this has an easy answer but I can’t find it: Where do I go to collect simple simple metrics on hundreds or thousands of companies at once in a format that allows easy analysis via spreadsheets?

I'm brand new to finance and investing but I'm thrilled I finally found a new way to focus my spreadsheet skills honed digging through survey results while doing my Psych studies in college. Unfortunately, while I know where to do to find shitloads of datasets, I just don't know where to go. It's easy to find financials on a single company at a time, but what I want is to be able to see for example is the assets of hundreds or thousands of companies at once, and then see what it's trading at, so I can plug it into a spreadsheet and instantly identify what companies would be valuated at 2/3 or less of their assets, like the net-net method. Where can I go for spreadsheet friendly numbers?
